What is the most common type of case sent to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals?

Judge Bert Richardson, who sits on the CCOA, explained that Writs of Habeas Corpus are the most common. Prisoners frequently ask to be brought before the Court to justify their confinement so prisoners can challenge the legality of their imprisonment.  The prisoners have plenty of time to prepare these writs.
